272 Albert Road South Melbourne

Now one of South Melbourne’s most impressive residences, this former boarding house originally constructed in 1874, was completely renovated by A. C. Paul Constructions under supervision of O’Connor & Houle Architects.

Works included demolition of flats in the rear garden, and the construction of a new wing incorporating Kitchen / Living area with a Master suite above. A lap pool with spa is adjacent to the living area, and a garage with studio over has been constructed at the rear of the property.

The existing building was completely renovated including three new bathrooms, installation of new services,  heating and cooling, and a sophisticated touch screen operated, home automation system.

The two storey front veranda was completely rebuilt using the original cast iron posts, lacework and balustrades. The result is a magnificent entrance to an impressive project.
