Constructed on a tight site in West Melbourne this cold storage facility incorporates office and amenities on the corner of the building, level loading areas under the canopy and a capacity to store 1250 pallets of frozen produce. As the foundation conditions were poor, the building is on a raft slab and incorporates a lightweight fire rated wall on the site boundary. Sunshades and energy efficient glass were used in the office area to increase amenity and reduce power consumption.
